Love Yotam Ottolenghi's marinated mozzarella with tomato. Recipe for the marinade is here. Leave the mozzarella in for about 30 minutes and serve with lovely fresh tomatoes. Ripe, Red & Juicy: 12 Tomato Salads for Summer Recipe Roundup |

+1 for a food processor. I use the Bosch MCM4100G which comes with a blender jar. It is really convenient and gets used for almost everything. The only thing I can't use it for is to grind spices. If you do need to do that, you can get a spice grinder or one of the mini-chopper things. Should I Buy a Food Processor or a Blender? Good Questions |

My favourite is an Indian dish called Upma. Just a little bit of oil, splutter some mustard seeds, add curry leaves, green chilli cut in half and some broken cashews. Put the kettle on to boil some water. Roast off some coarse semolina (as much as you like, I don't measure!), keep stirring so it doesn't burn. You could add a chopped tomato if you like. Once the semolina just starts to change colour, crush in some ginger, add the tomato, some salt and add the boiled water. Mix in to make sure there are no lumps. The consistency should be quite thick, moist but definitely not too runny. Looking for Alternatives to Eggs & Breakfast Breads Good Questions |
