There's a local-ish Grocery chain here in the maryland area called Martins Foods/Giant Foods.
Everyone is polite and they have some pretty wonderful stuff for not too much, as well as a pretty decently stocked Organic/Vegetarian/Special Dietary Needs section.

I really don't get why a lot of you think people eating while watching television means they arent sharing quality time together or caring about meal time. Why is that wrong? I think its a bit messed up if you feel there needs to be talking to appreciate and enjoy the company of another person. Knowing my fiancee is near me is one of the greatest feelings in my life. Enjoying the mutual feelings of shock or anticipation while watching BBC's modernized Sherlock together is a wonderful experience, whether or not we actually open our mouthes to say anyting other than "John, Sherlock, Look out!"
I value meals, I value down time. I love to cook. But you got to realize everyone has a different version of down time. My version of down time is sitting with a good meal, near the wonderful woman I love, and enjoying something together. I'm an artist, when im done working, My back hurts, my butt hurts, my feet are hurting and my ankles are starting to swell from sitting for most of the day, and my arms ache. I'm utterly sorry that I don't quite feel up to sitting at the same hard chair I have been sitting in all day leaning on the same hard surface as always to eat a meal that took up the rest of my energy to make. Food is not a high class ritualistic experience, okay? Food is a comforting, nourishing thing that can be enjoyed in any way people want to enjoy it. Get over yourselves.

I was inspired to cook by animated movies haha. Alice in wonderland, different animes, Studio Ghibli movies. They all looked so beautiful and magical, I wanted to make new things, capture the magic I felt looking at the foods. I started cooking by myself, but my mother has been helping me learn more.

potatoes are full of potassium, which nobody gets enough of! If they would serve baked low fat chips, or just bake their fries and tots, it would be really healthy. A lot of blood pressure issues are actually caused by a lack of magnesium and potassium rather than actual salt overload.

doesnt seem dirty to me as much as it does just OLD. We got a really old house, and we keep it clean regularly, but there are parts of the kitchen that are stained and all that, from when the previous owners were there..

Where I live the fruits and vegetables are either extremely low quality or overly expensive. also, i dont like the bad light it puts human creativity in. Obviously if humans didnt develop a need to do more than just survive, they wouldnt have made all these "evil" chocolates and breads and cakes. I'm one of those people that believes you wont die if you cave and have 3 cookies once every 2 weeks. My brother is on a diet where he eats low calorie, healthy meals through the week, and then splurges a bit more on the weekend. He's lost a good ammount of weight and is quite healthy.

I am sick of the YOU GUYS KNOW WE DONT LIKE HER comments. they are not promoting her as a person, they are promoting what they believe is a good cook book inspite of the person attached to it. And everyone getting upset over her mentioning her rich family or celebrity up bringing, how do you think I feel when I see posts on here that seem to say that eating healthy/finding healthy places to eat is easy/making healthy choices are easy. I barely have any money to spend on organic food, I dont live in a big city with lots of healthy, hip cafes or restaurants.. I feel like so many people are spoiled and dont realize that its harder for some people.
but anyway
I probably wont be able to afford this cook book, but I am not going to hate it just because a celebrity is on the cover, Hopefully it will be at a library and I can look through it to get the recipes some time. Also the anti skinny comments are kind of bugging me.. I dont know much about her, but some people are naturally very thin and cant gain weight easy, so it bugs me when people seem to go around with these thoughts of pure hate when they see a thin person, just because they might not be t hin themselves.

it weirds me out that theres so much hate in this thread after seeing so much love for cake pops..
"srry but cake pops are mainstream now I'M MOVING ON"
but hey i dont know, I've never had a cake pop. (thats another thing, most of these comments condemning cake pops are from people who never HAD a cake pop..)
oh well. People have different tastes, I'd probably like cake pops, depending on how its made. Dark chocolate with a sweeter chocolate icing sounds good to me..
