I met one of my neighbors doing yard work. He helped me fix my plumbing when it started raining in the basement. I met another at about 3am in the back alley after a shooting. Most of the other people in the neighborhood are renters who aren't really worried about getting to know us.

@EBARRETT3
The leap year occurs because there are actually 364.25 days per year according to the Gregorian Calendar, so every four years an extra day is added to account for that extra day: really .25 * 4.

Saying that a leap year doesn't happen every 4 years, but happens in years divisible by 4 is wrong. Every fourth year, there is a year that is evenly divisible by 4 - the rules of multiplication tell us that it's not OFTEN four years apart, it's ALWAYS 4 years apart.

I also agree with Jasmine about the entertainment center on the left wall, sectional on the kitchen wall and the other back to the window. Put a dining table lengthwise in behind the sectional and a breakfast nook/sitting area right next to the kitchen.

If you're going for eclectic - try to warm it up with some bold colors pulled from your parents rug in throws, pillows and dark woods. Or go with bright colors - another look at the article about incorporating oriental rugs could help.

I had one experience with OWC very recently and was nothing but disappointed by their customer service and their policies.
I'll try to keep a long story short. I ordered some RJ-45 from them, delivery missed me thrice. UPS automatically returned the cable to them and they issued a refund. I paid $94 ($79 + $15 shipping/handling (not cheap)). Their refund was for $54.50, according to them - there was a restocking fee, plus the return shipping. After a few emails back and forth they offered to refund $5 more.

This was all after I explained that I still wanted the item and that I never even was given a chance to pick it up at the UPS warehouse.

Luckily, I paid through Amazon Payments and on my credit card. I filed a complaint with both companies and was offered a full refund from both. (I accepted Amazon's and notified Chase). That is why I will never offer OWC my business again.
