Ditto to mizinformation's suggestion. Also try searching "loft" here on AT-- you'll find TONS of great ideas-- from giant artwork, to creative painting techniques, to shelves, or even wallpaper.

yeah this is a terrible list. I would suggest lucky bamboo, or any type of dracaena. Air plants would also be a good suggestion.

I agree with the first comment-- these all look very bleak to me.

sasha2, YESSS!!!! I was about to say the exact same thing. Thank you! I guess the only thing that marginally legitimizes this sort of reno in my mind is that at least these people aren't creating giant mcmansions out in the country somewhere.

I love natural light in the kitchen, and this kitchen certainly has that! That being said, all the black trim and concrete-looking surfaces remind me of office buildings from the 70's.

If I'm feeling stressed out or down in the dumps, I treat myself to a bouquet of fresh flowers. Flowers help me to feel happy and at peace.

I appreciate the fact that Cool Whip wasn't in the recipe. (and I much prefer this method of advertising to being barraged by annoying pop up ads with miniscule "close" options)

I've been extremely happy with my Aroma! I use it ALL the time-- at this point I've had it two years (using it multiple times a day) and it's still going strong.

I love that napkin ring (West Elm has some that are very similar). They look like they could be a DIY though....anyone know where I could find a tutorial?
