Thanks everybody for the positive comments and just for looking. I tend to use the ceiling as storage for the party decorations I make. Sometimes I clear everything out, but the ceiling always fills up again. My husband has an eBay store so our home is a never ending source of kitsch. It was also a challenge for me to photograph (I wish I could have shown more).

I just painted my bedroom True Value Zinfandel. Now I'm painting the furniture in berry colors. I never had a pink room as a child, but I'm really liking this one.

I did all 5 of these over winter break and it was wonderful! I tried staying home more and working on things that I had started there. This helped me spend less and bring less into the house.

The last time I moved, I started discarding well before, but there was still some after (when we were organizing rooms and deciding on storage). It was great not to see all of the clutter in the new house.

I did this with the nieghbors last weekend. It was great my highest priced items were $5, but almost everything was $1 or less. Almost nothing was left.

i have a new basement bedroom. it's sometimes cold, has a weird ceiling, exposed clost, 2 cement block walls, 2 flimsy textured walls, an odd light, etc. it does have space though and was the only down side of going from an apartment to a duplex. I am unispired in this space. please help. i can even send a picture if you like.
