I'm in love with your desk! That blue is one of my favorites.

Personally, I'm annoyed with all of the 'book purists' who assume that just because someone color coordinates their bookshelves, they must view the books as mere decoration. As an avid reader with a creative writing degree, my book collection is as personal as it is extensive. I color coordinate my books and *GASP* read them, too! I know what my books look like because I've spent time with them. I've read them, re-read them three or four times, even. So when I feel like getting cozy with one of my old favorites, I know exactly where it has been placed among its similarly colored friends. It's organized in a way that makes sense to me, and it's pretty. And there's nothing wrong with a little pretty- especially in an apartment as small as mine!

found a Jonathan Adler bamboo Chippendale chair for $4 at a Good Will in Denton, Texas!

So bright! I love the monochromatic style- very chic yet lived in. I've seen that step ladder/chair in other homes before and LOVE it!

does anyone know what stain to use to get that gorgeous color? i'm stripping a painted mid-century buffet table and would love to stain it this rich shade!

I'm loving the last one! I'm usually not a huge fan of wallpaper at all, let along in the kitchen, but that gorgeous turquoise! And its up high, so I doubt cooking disasters are much of an issue...
