Rather than make a quilt or pillowcases using favorite/sentimental old t-shirts, I cut out the designs and put them in embroidery hoops. Grouped five or so on my wall, and it looks fantastic. My mom saw it and teared up a little that I'd saved some of her old clothes that she gave to me... :)

I think it's lovely - but black trim around that front window and rectangle garage windows would push this over the top into 'fantastic' territory

Thanks for the dog love and all the positive comments, guys!

@Chelle Belle - nope, it's a fake! I think the little yellow pot is insanely cute, and it's been with me in every apartment I've ever had.
@Carsin - shhhh don't tell anyone, it's a plastic knockoff of the Eames rocker as a placeholder til I get the real deal ;)

Hah! I've had those blik bird decals in my bedroom for five years - I loved them when they first came out, and bought them right away. Everyone who has seen the wall thinks it's hip and edgy, and I still smile when looking at them.
However, I am sick to death of chalkboarding everything...

Wooden cutting boards, maybe? Those pretty, hand-finished ones with all the lovely grain seem nice.

3M (I think) might make a tape for fabric cubicle walls that has almost a 'velcro' backing. In my last cube, I had eight or ten printouts of vintage travel posters that I tacked up with the wall tape. Easily removable with no damage. Depending on the height of your cube wall, you can drape a 'hanging' planter with a wreath holder over the side. Have fun fixing it up :)

set up coffee maker, dog out for final pee, my final pee, wash face/brush teeth, lock up, give the dog a good pet and ear skritch, set alarm, read until eyelids drop :)

it's a routine I've had for years and do it without thinking

setting out bowls of white vinegar (even though it makes me retch) has helped me before with awful smoke smells. And I've heard great things about the Bad Air Sponge. Is it possible that there's also some moisture inside? Mildew can be a nasty culprit. Damp-rid is a lifesaver for moist air, too. I think that can be found at wal-marts and dollar stores. Best of luck!
