I've seen this black & white pillow on several of these bedroom retreat posts and I love it! Where is it from?

I definitely think "binging" on TV shows definitely plays into our need for instant gratification and it certainly doesn't help. However, I freaking love being able to watch a whole series/season in a short amount of time. I definitely pick up on things I wouldn't have picked up on if I would've waited a week. Not having to wait a week also increases the intensity of the show. To be able to go from a cliffhanger to the next episode is so satisfying. Maybe one day all shows will be released an entire season at a time and cable tv will be practically nonexistent (what would the sports fanatics do, though?).

I'm 31 and I'd LOVE to garden. I have space to do so, but every time I look into, I get overwhelmed. My parents didn't garden and neither did my grandparents, so I know nothing about gardening. There is tons of info on the web but there is so much that I don't know where to start. If I talk to people I know, they all have contradicting ideas for the best way to garden. I need a gardening mentor :)

This was, wait for it...., used in a nursery. Gasp. It's freakin' adorable & I'm sure that this mother did her research to ensure that her baby wasn't going to be harmed by any chemicals.

Pallets In The Home

I just made a daybed out of a pallet that I purchased for a whopping $4 & I love it. Not all pallets are treated with chemicals. I love AT but man the readers (well more specifically the commenters) can be so judgmental. Geez. If you don't like pallet furniture, then don't make it. I think it's a great way to recycle something that has a huge disposal problem.

Nope not for me. I want to throw a yellow pillow or something into these rooms. Your asking a girl who never wears black & is always in a color & who has lots of color all throughout my house.

Like everyone else has said... just say NO to white grout. It is the devil. I bought a house with white tile & white grout. Keeping it clean was impossible. When I wanted to sell the house I had to pay someone to regrout it. Then when the house didn't sell and year went by, the dang tile was irreversibly dirty. I have the house on the market again & I can't be bothered. It is what it is.

So sorry for Donna's loss.

I needed to read this post today as my 3 labs are shedding something awful. I could sweep every 30 minutes and get massive amounts of fur every time. With that said, my house without them would be empty. I love seeing their smiling faces & wagging tails every time come home.

@bepsf- you're so right on. i am currently a homeowner who is going through a foreclosure. i lost my job & could no longer afford the mortgage. i'm trying to sell it but b/c the housing market is crap i'd have to sell it for $20,000 less than what i paid for it. houses are no longer a guaranteed good investment. also, who said it was such a good investment anyway when the majority of your monthly mortgage payment is going towards paying interest. if i ever buy a house again, i will pay in cash. so, now i'm going back to renting & i feel free. if something goes wrong, i don't have to pay to have it fixed.

Yay Nashville! Beautiful home & not like anything you'd normally see in Nashville. Yeah the 'burbs of Nashville are bleh but East Nashville, Sylvan Park, Midtown, 12th South, the Gulch, etc are really awesome. Nashville is such a wonderful mix of big city features with small town charm.

When I first read this I thought they would pay off your mortgage to which I thought, "heck yeah! They can paint my house whatever they want." I still don't necessarily think it's a bad deal to have them pay your monthly mortgage while their advertisements are on your house. It would be only temporary.

@SuzanneL- if you go to the link you'll see that she ensured that she did not get pallets that were treated with chemicals. Let's not be so quick to throw stones.
