Floor mats! Yes, the flooring's crappy, but by using a bathmat and a toilet mat, it'll take the focus off the crappy floor tiles and help accent the bathroom. Since it's a rental, your best bet is to work with what you've got, rather than waste your money on something you won't be keeping or making a profit from. This turned out to be a very successful dinner. Filling (in that five or six 4" squares will satisfy even the most hungry) and light enough that every flavour stands out.
