Love the mirrors I think paint the vanity cabinets a brown so dark its almost black. it will disquise the outdated doors, remove wallpaper border, paint walls around tile a medium gray nothing too dark, replace rugs with one large long rectangle to hide floors maybe a bamboo or hemp woven rug, paint frame around window white to match mirrors and remove any all curtains if needed frost the window which is very cheap and easy to do. Don't fix what ain't broke! Love that you brought the cabinets into the new and recycled materials for the backsplash, I like the price tag even more! As a new Yorker which means long term renter, in the places I've been able to tinker and change I don't want to sink big money into so brava hats off my kind of remodel! ;) Before & After: $60 Galley Kitchen Transformation Circa Dee |

Fantastic job but I think a not so bland fabric would have made the after look like a more expensive piece?? Thoughts? Would a pattern be better for a novice to attempt to reupholster with (hide imperfections?) or stick to solids? Before & After: Sofa Makeover Rock Paper Scissor Graphics |

This is completely fabulous and would only be correctly executed by an interior designer our inferiors couldn't accomplish something so artistic and beautiful with this much complexity...the masses would have a mad clown home if they attempted this fo'sho! The writing was amazing and really drew me in ..but honestly underwhelmed white walls and MCM pieces and cluttery art groupings... It's very Brooklyn I don't see much Texas in this actually none at all. There's no classic or eclectic feel it's just a repeat of what you see everywhere ...I want some innovation apartment therapy! Gorgeous! except .. The dark brown wood makes them look like cheap plastic. It would have been lovely with just the painted stripes and yellow table. Before & After: Dana's Sunshiny Outdoor Furniture Upgrade D and B |

I've spray painted shirts before, lightly and with one coat and it is surprisingly soft and pliable there is some fading with washes but that can add to the look and I'm sure could be solved with less abrasive soaps and washing techniques. Also any slight stiffness the not made for fabric spray paint gave to the t shirts was absolutely gone in one wash. Before & After: Dana's Sunshiny Outdoor Furniture Upgrade D and B |

I love the painting behind the tub it's gorgeous th fish ..not so much but I'm sure it looks awesome in their space! I think if you had a cool flea market painting a spray coating of some clear gloss spray paint and the wrap around shower curtain would be more then adequate ! Obviously you wouldn't use a real Picasso or anything !!! Art In the Shower |

I'd love to know more details about how you laid them on wall..start in the center? Start at a corner? How many awkward edges did you have to cut? Easiest for laying out colors light to dark?! The Crazy Colorful $16 Stairway Makeover Cozy Little Cave |

I think this is amazing! It's bright and eclectic but I feel it's modern and crisp too! As a person in an apartment their eventual removal/ not being permanent is a plus! Super awesome idea! I love it! And I would probably have all the supplies I need with the thousands of paint chips ive brought home and tossed.. Or the number of chips people pull out of the slots and toss on the floor for employees to throw..and it is advertisement!!!! The Crazy Colorful $16 Stairway Makeover Cozy Little Cave |

Your cheapest solution is paint..if you remove them you expose wires and plumbing correct? In most cases homes don't have the "cool" industrial looking plumbing is dirty and PVC piping. I think hanging wallpaper or fabric unless your a professional designer would be sloppy and uglier! And yeah that's possible. So cheap solution until you can one day redo ceiling paint! To not accent the ugly I'd say solid color neutral black brown tan creme etc..no white because it looks to much like it's original purpose commercial office! Don't paint piping diff color nothing! One color flat! Or eggshell something with as little sheen as possible. Sheen will just accent the fact that it's a cheap modular ceiling and not solid. Then do a fantastic job decorating the rest of the bathroom so it's possible to live with ceiling until one day we all hit the lottery and have limitless amounts of money to spend doing all projects the way we'd like * sigh that would be lovely... I love the transformation! I don't hate the accessories on top though I agree they could be replaced with something that ties in better to the new credenza. Maybe two tall skinny empty vases one on each side white or black or wood? And I agree with painting wood it's not freaking sacred! Most wood furniture the color of the before makes me think of bad 70's furniture not cool vintage! Bleeding hearts for mass produced furniture sheesh! Question! I do really dig the transformation..however is the time spent finding the perfect shaped DIY couch hauling it around sourcing fabrics and the total cost worth it? For 1800 you might as well have walked into some showroom somewhere paid cash and had it delivered right to the house. If however you really weren't seeing any "new designs" name brands or designer pieces you liked I could see this as a viable alternative. But for me average joe schmoe DIY-er I do things myself to have originality and save some greenbacks! More practical DIY projects please!!! Before & After: Thrifted Velvet Couch The Brick House |

I appreciate creativity but there is definately a line crossed making cesa's work hard to swallow. To each there own but is it a challenge to be random ? Creativity is born from necessity let's not reinvent the wheel that designs not broken! How about cesa's Pure shock value without function home! Not aesthetically pleasing whatsoever and looks to be quite uncomfortable and challenging to live there I.e. Stepping over castle walls to pass through hallway..also there is a reason coffee tables have a standard height..it's comfortable..what a silly notion, comfort.
