Well done! The back corner where the plants are seems a bit like wasted space. Understandably so, as it's at the top of the stairs and accommodates 2 large windows. Perhaps try putting a small plush chair there for guests to sit comfortably and chat with you while cooking. I love when atypical furniture is placed in a kitchen such as plush chairs and love seats, coffee tables, desks, etc. Overall, looks great though!

We simply bought cord covers (found at any Big Box hardware store, like this: http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/catalog/servlet/ContentView?pn=SF_EL_Cord_Management) for our apartment, painted them the same color as our wall, and mounted them to the wall with easy to remove double sided stick-ons (the kind you use for 3-M hooks). Quick, easy, affordable, and removable for renters. Black zip ties are also a quick and easy way to gather cords together and keep them from taking over your space.
AT had a post a while back where they featured this solution.

Two musts for our visitors:
1) I always wash our spare sheets between guest visits, but sometimes the sheets sit in the closet for a while before they're used again. I like to put a dryer sheet or two in with the clean guest sheets when I store them so the next time we make the bed for guests they still smell as if they were just washed.
2) I also like to clear a small space in the closet for our guests and provide them with 3-4 empty hangers. It's nice to give guests a spot for hanging items and it keeps the apartment clutter free as they're not draping clothing and jackets over chairs in the living room/guest room.

I'm disappoint that AT didn't address that making a change like this to a garage could result in increased taxes and the potential need for a zoning change from a single family home to multi-family considering she was renting out her main house. Just some serious nuances to consider seeing as this clearly wasn't a simple Before and After but a full on re-construction job as Krikkit noted.

streeteasy.com is a great site for the NYC area. Not sure how well it works outside of NYC.
