I have these all around the house, you can vary by colour and they can appear anything but shaggy. The only problem is that they can be very slippery. But that can be fixed with non-slip backing.

Well one could just keep a bowl in the sink and let all of the rinsing water go into that, then take that outdoors. And it could hold a lot more than just the rinsing water from the vegetables.. even dishwashing water is fine in my opinion.

in Estonia garlic is one of the most basic home remedies - some people go a big overboard with it - garlic up their nose when they have flue for example. but in general slicing garlic on a piece of bread is not uncommon.

cottage cheese (little bit sweetened) + cranberry jam (homemade if possible) + kama. kama is traditional finnish-estonian flour mixture that consists of roasted barley, rye, pea and oat flour. i suppose can be replaced with darker bread crumbs.yum.

I don't have any good reccomendations for the actual elevator but in order to conseal it you could maybe use some foldable doors (like shutters) to make it look nicer.

I personally don't really see the need for an elevator in 3 fl building... you can always use one of those building elevators that can be placed outside of the house for the time of the actual move.

I would say "do" but ofcourse this depends on where you live. I personally don't keep firewood around just for fun but actually burn it. If you want it just for looks, you can choose dry wood without mould etc on it.

cats like it too, good place to scratch their nails.

My two cats enjoy sleeping on our bed, though never when there is more than one person in it. They seem to understand that it is not the best place for sleeping as silly humans move around alot, so they just stay for a short while. The only option for keeping them out completely would be keeping the door closed.. They have their own nests all over the house so I don't see it as a problem really.
