I got this cookbook over the summer and really really love it. So far we've tried the Tomatilla Enchiladas, Chicken Pot Pies and Chicken and Dumplings. It's also just a good reference for basics that you can tweak. Also, its just a pretty book :o)

My husband and his buddy are doing a Beer Advent for the second time this year. They each buy 12 single beers (at Total Wine and other retailers who sell singles) and spend about $30 each. They wrap the ones they bought in foil and trade so each beer is a real surprise. They alternate days opening a new beer! Best advent ever :o)

You can watch all the episodes of Sarah's Summer Home on HGTV.com that shows how she did this whole cottage room by room. I pretty much watched them all through in one sitting while working on my finals for grad school. Plus, she's pretty much hilarious.

When my boyfriend moved in with me I discovered he also eats salad with his hands. I have to say, he's pretty much won me over to using this method because... it's so hard to get a cherry tomato on a fork!

That being said... it literally only goes forward and backward and doesn't have a lot of power to get through thick fabrics. It's fun to own a piece of history though.

I think this is a great rationale. We have open storage, buuutttt, I can't convince my boyfriend that means things need to be tidy... so instead we just have neon sponges out for all to see. *sigh*
