On the 24th (German here), we go to church, eat Raclette, and then play board games, with some rule attached that if x happens, whoever it happens to gets to open a present. Share Your Favorite Holiday Traditions |

If by Europa, you ar referring to Jupiter's 6th moon, then salad after dinner might be a thing. The continent I have lived on for my whole life, not so much. My family has always eaten salad first (eat your greens so you grow big and strong and healthy), and it is served that way at restaurants. Cultural Differences: Salad Before or After Dinner? |

Jim Dale is ok, but Harry Potter read by the one and only Stephen Fry is way better. Another favorite is the "How to Train Your Dragon" read by David Tennant, they might be for kids, but there's nothing better than a Scottish accent... The Best Narrated Audio Books |

I'm a student, 22, and yes, I do own a soup tureen. Along with two saucières and a couple more bowls with and without covers. When I moved away for school I inherited my grandparents' old china- a dinner set for 10 along with an array of serving dishes. I don't really use most of that stuff, but I love the fact that I do own it.. Survey: Do You Own a Soup Tureen? |

I've been to the IKEA in Israel- it's funny, the signs are illegible (at least if you don't read Hebrew), but all the stuff's the same. IKEAs of the World |

WMF (also German) makes a neat little Egg cutter, we have had one at home forever. You just put it over the egg, pull the handles and tiny spikes cut the egg shell, twist and lift, voilà, perfect egg. Stephanie's Favorite Odd Tool: Soft Boiled Egg Top Cutter |
