@crazydoglady: my friend put the lucite shade of one lamp on the base of an arch lamp.

@FWUFFY: it's a fig. the top died out, but it came back through the trunk! I've had this one for MANY years. just noticed a new leaf today.

Hello! thanks for the comments! the bookshelf/media shelf is made of 2 10"x10' doug fir planks resting on pipe framing i configured. it's cool too because you could keep going up if you wanted (I like the low profile).
the shelf between the room could stand to be a bit more deep. i've bumped it pretty hard a couple times. it did scare me a bit but i think i'd like to do the pipe/plank shelf there built higher.
the chevron wall was taped off and painted.
