I sleep (and never use as a couch) in an IKEA PS Collection sleeper sofa. It's been quite comfortable for the last 5 years, After 5 years, it's no good, though, but it's really well worth it's low price! enchanting and magical place. as an artist, I had a lightbulb moment here... I have an uninsulated (quite big) attic too! I love Laurie colwin's writing so much. She has been translated into French in the early 2000's, and so I read her in French. Very moving. She does feel like a close friend. Sadly enough, her cooking memoirs haven't been translated and I still have to read them. I keep that pleasure for a rainy day. For more ideas, search 'voluntary simplicity' sites! There's plenty to make yourself. Or buy handmade at such sites as Etsy, Folksy, etc... I don't know how to sew, but i offer drawings and paintings to friends and family. Gourmet wine vinegar is easy to make! The hardest part is to find a good "vinaigrier" to store it in, preferably made of earthware. Pour high quality vinegar at the bottom of your ceramic jar (the said "vinaigrier"). Then add any wine that doesn't taste good to you or has turned bad for some reason. You'll have to let it rest several months, before the whole brew turns naturally into red vinegar. Filter then pour into nice-looking clear glass bottles. Make a gift. note : i've seen my mom do that and i'll ask her more details if available. I sleep on one side of the huge bed, my tiny cat on the other side, on her own big pillow. That way I can pet or watch her sleep without getting out of bed. Can you tell that I'm single now, lol?
