Warning: Though Clear says it is unlimited, they WILL throttle your internet down to dial-up speeds after you use 20 gigs of bandwidth each month. So for instance, 1 hr of Netflix or Hulu streaming equals about 1 gig of bandwidth used...it is easy to use up your secretly allotted bandwidth in a month, which makes the first few weeks seemingly awesome with no problems, and then the last few weeks TERRIBLE. I was on the phone 5 different times trying to figure out why this was happening, and they never officially admitted that this "throttling" was in contradiction to their promise for "unlimited." They have released me from my contract 1.5 yrs early, no penalty, because they label me as a "high user." Switching to Sprint....the last TRULY unlimited company that I'm aware of. (Note: if you know you'll use less than 20 gigs of bandwidth, than this is a great company and you'll have no problem!)

I hate those pesky gnats! After much research and personal experience, I agree with the above commenters...the best thing you can do is let the soil dry out, as long as the plant can take the 'drought'. I didn't like the pesticides option, and wasn't keen on totally repotting my plants just yet....so here is what I tried and worked for me:

The gnats reproduce in the top 2 inches of soil, so I carefully spooned out the top layer of soil, and then quickly covered every inch with a layer of small pebbles---cheap aquarium rocks from the pet store, to be exact. (I mean polished rocks, not the neon blues and oranges etc) The rocks helped create a barrier that wasn't airtight, so that the gnats couldn't reproduce but the plants could still breathe. A plus was that it is very aesthetic. :)

Lastly, after letting the soil dry out, I started watering from the bottom (in the water drainage basin), instead of the top, that way the plants soak up the water to their roots, and the top few inches stay drier.

No more gnats for me!!!

Any tips on how to purge duplicate mp3's (besides manually, one by one)? I use itunes on my mac, and duplicates are hidden, but remain an issue...thx!
