FROM ABIGAIL, who owns this mirror:

I'm so sorry I'm late getting back to everyone. I have so enjoyed your comments. I might consider painting that wall a khaki color, although I'm a little worried about overdoing the paint -- the other wall is quite striking and quite large/long.

Someone asked about the chandelier. I LOVE it to. I got it at the Neiman Marcus/Horchow outlet, actually. The same style is no longer available, but here are some close cousins:

As for sconce shades, I think I may do red, to bring out the red in the mirror. But here's my big question: what SCALE of sconce should I use? How big should a sconce be in relation to the mirror? Should I use long sconces or short? Wide or narrow?

Thank you all very much!

The cat really ties the whole room together - animal and cozy elements all rolled up into one well placed object.

OK, I want to know about the bed in the photo at the top of this page. Cool! Is it vintage? If not, where can I find one?

Many thanks for all your feedback! I'm going with the mix. In fact, I think I'm going to mix it up even more!

My next challenge will be hanging artwork and mirrors. Actually, my next challenge will be BUDGET! Lol. I'm trying to sell my unwanted things on EBay and Craig's List so I can afford the things I still need.

I love reading the comments on Apartment Therapy, and when my place is a little more in shape, I promise to post photos.

-Abigail
