I like the After, but it annoys me when the photography/lighting is altered to enhance After pics. You can see that it is the same sofa in both photos, yet the sofa is MUCH darker in the Before photo - obviously from the lighting and photography. I understand why they do this, but I would prefer to see consistency between the Before and After.

Check out any of the "Not Your Mother's Slow Cooker" recipe books - the recipes are healthy and wholesome and awesome! There are a number of different books in the series, including one for 1-2 people. The recipes are not typical crock pot recipes - there are many ethnic recipes, gourmet items - even recipes for oatmeal! I highly recommend these.

@Tania: There is nothing wrong with commenting about one's likes and dislikes when reviewing a home on AT. That's one of the reasons I read the comments following a house tour - I like to know what others think about a particular house or room or design style.

And if the person didn't want any "negative" comments, they wouldn't be showing their house in an international forum. I'm sure that most would rather have healthy feedback than bland and saccarine comments...

I appreciate the simplicity and neutral colors of this apartment, but it is definitely not my style. I would have liked to see more pops of color here and there. But then again, the woman who lives here probably would not like my house. :)

I do agree with the poster who commented on the the Keep Calm and the For Like Ever art - with as much care as was shown throughout the apartment, it seems very pedantic to showcase this unoriginal art...

This looks wonderful! I live in a city that has a lot of painted brick homes, and I think they're gorgeous. My house is brick, and I've been planning on painting it as the brick is nondescript and boring, so you've given me inspiration!

I asked about the bedside tables on her Facebook page, and she said that they were custom pieces. :(

I don't post many comments on AT, but after I went through this tour, I just had to comment on how much this house spoke to me. Everything - every room, every photo - was a burst of color and life and beauty. And the light from outside just adds to its splendiferousness. I would move in here tomorrow and not change a thing.

Why not cover as much as possible with a large rug and live with it for awhile before you decide? I'm a big fan of getting to know a space before making permanent changes to it.

I would love to know where you got the large wall map in the children's bedroom - fabulous!

I bought two inexpensive robes at IKEA and have them hanging from hooks in the guest bedroom. I also bought some slippers and have them in a basket in the room. It's nice to have a robe to slip into when you get up. I also have hooks hanging in both the bedroom and the bathroom, and extra towels and a comforter in the dresser. And I agree that it's nice to provide an alarm clock for your guests.

I'm not sure what happened to my previous comment (was it removed because I said I didn't care for the decor?). At any rate, I was a little underwhelmed by this house. Yes, there were some very nice pieces, but just too much stuff. I'm sure the owner loves it, and that's what decorating is all about - individual tastes - but I prefer a cleaner look.

Shipping from Amazon tacks on another $60 to the rocking chair - not so much of a bargain.

Instead of hiding it, why not draw focus to it? You could hang a tapestry or large poster over it - or even paint the door one of the colors from your blanket (if you're allowed). Or maybe actually put the art on the door, like painting a leafy vine or a bold graphic geometric design.

I'd go for a deep shag rug - it would be a nice contrast to the smooth leather sofa. For color, I would love ivory, but since you don't, maybe a two-tone with gold and bronze - or you could pull some of the colors of the fireplace tile in.
