Oh, wow...I don't even know where to start. First, THANK YOU for not gutting the bathroom and kitchen! The kitchen cabinets and both tile floors are wonderful.

Also, I absolutely LOVE the non-matchiness of everything in this home. It really feels like every single item has significance (and I'm sure it does).

Finally, what a ridiculously good-looking couple. Will I get lambasted for requesting an update after they have their first baby? ;-)

I like your approach to art. You're not just filling walls, you're putting up things that are meaningful.

Would love to see before-and-after photos, and a full tour!

I miss the French doors from the before, but the kitchen itself in the after is lovely. In particular, I'm envying those pendant lights.

My early-30s apartment building has a central stairwell that nobody ever uses. I'd walked past the door for at least a year before I even thought to peek inside. When I did, I saw a wall of small wooden lockers. I asked the manager and he speculated that it was for workmen who lived there for when they got home, to stash their dirty boots. Sounded far-fetched but the lockers are about the right size for a pair of work boots. Hmmm.
