I don't use a case and I never clean it. Turns out, the cellphone still works! Problem solved.

It's been so long since I've read a book in dead-tree format, I assumed from the headline that the author was migrating from tablet reader apps (e.g. Kindle for iPad/Android) to a dedicated e-ink device- a move I've been considering given their superior display capabilities in sunlight. I forget that people are still beholden to print books. Something about the sensory experience of holding paper?

Even setting aside the consumer friendly features, ebooks themselves are just flat cheaper, when they're not free.

I've never understood the desire to pretend their isn't a TV in the living room. And I hate every single one of these murals, but even if I didn't, the TV sitting right in the middle of them just makes both the television and the mural look like they're in the wrong places.

I'm curious about that tall tree-like succulent(?) in the upper right corner of the first pic. Can anyone ID that for me?

It's very difficult to get a sense of what this space looks like, since pictures are so zoomed in. I'm not really clear on what makes it urban, either. That's not snark... I have no idea what urban means in roomy Texas, but here it generally means maximizing small spaces, an emphasis on container gardening, and selecting a few pieces with big impact. None of that is really happening here, so what makes it urban to the owner?

I don't understand fighting in public about anything, much less furniture. Life is too short.

There is no conclusive evidence that any number of cellphones would cause any interference whatsoever. The excuses about maintaining control of the crowd are probably more to the point, but still misguided. I can move just as quickly with my cellphone on as I can with it off. Those reasons aren't "very legitimate", they're nonsense.

Add me to the list of no-case havers. Unless it's your mountain-climbing phone or you expect to be throwing it a lot, I really don't see the need.

The problem with Gamefly, though, is that the availability and shipping times are abyssmal. If you want to rent a new release, you either have to time it so you get a new copy sent to you on release day... or clear out your rental queue and be prepared to wait, gameless, for weeks at least, until a copy becomes available. I've gone for over a month at a time without any games at home because the (admittedly popular) games I selected were not available.

The placement of the easel is weird for me. I assume it's just staged for photography, but it appears to be quite a bit away from the wall and pointed away from all the furniture. From this picture it just looks like an unwatchable trip hazard. And what about all the cords? Where are they and how do you move the easel with them?

I am completely obsessed with that Cowboy Bebop print. Thanks for sharing. (I've already ordered mine!)

My favorite part of that print is the bottom which reads: "dun dun dun dun dun dun dun duuuuuun dun" repeated.

I love how it evokes a musical soundtrack in my mind whenever I look at it, the way it riffs on a subway sign, and the fact that it's just darn pleasing to look at.

In summary: love.
