When my wife and I purchased our 2-story standard modern house (renovated, remodeled, and added which took previous owner 5 years to finish due to permit problems).

Upon entering the short front entryway, there was a wall between living room and dining room. We had it completely removed. The whole area naturally lightened up. Larger space is very useful for party invitees, etc.

Very deaf-friendly environment.

My nice but bared backyard is all concrete floor and concrete block wall.
I planning on making plant/garden boxes with heavy casters instead of permanently anchor them onto the ground (make sense to move them away from blaring sun, no?).

I designed my kitchen which are pretty interchangeable. Upper and lower cabinets aren't truly nailed (bad idea! Never nail anything to the wall except for hanging picture hooks). Uppers has inner base piece which you only need to screw into wall studs behind them. Lowers are screwed to the separated floor bases (which are also screwed to the real floor to ensure it's immobilized/sturdiness.

Will work and look great under anything that has flat surface, dressers, too.

Easier job is painting the wall, not cabinets.
Walls are like canvas, all flat not detailed like cabinet doors.
Wall has more color selection to choose.
Light colors would be sufficient.
