Yeah! Just heard reports of that when I checked my email. Will look into fixing that issue. Seems the giveaways are a little glitchy right now. Lots of changes this year, seems some things have shifted in flight. :)

Thanks for reporting back!

Hey everyone!

Tech team member here, we're looking into the problems with the form. We've pushed out some fixes so hopefully more of you should see it after a refresh. But if not, let's try something. Here's another (uglier) link, http://www.thekitchn.com/community_proxy/giveaways/new?giveaway_id=5094250e8806074ab2000be1 does that work for everyone that's having trouble seeing it above? Or does it show the same thing?

Again, so sorry for the trouble. We're on it right now!

Hey everyone!

Tech team member here, we're looking into the problems with the form. Really a strange thing since if you can comment you should see the form (name, address, etc).

While we're trying to track this down let's try something. Here's another (uglier) link, http://community.apartmenttherapy.com/giveaways/new?giveaway_id=509429bc8806074a9c000de7 does that work for everyone that's having trouble seeing it above? Or does it show the same thing?

Again, so sorry for the trouble. We're on it right now!

I think that is normal. The form's view of the images isn't the same as what we'll be using to post them (hmm, maybe it should be?) - but rest assured that we did receive your whole image. :)

Been noticing sours here in the midwest for sometime as well. That and wacky adjuncts. Also there's definitely a lot of folks doing session beers a long side giant barrel aged beers (not just bourbon either, tabasco barrels, rum barrels, even aging on cedar and cherry wood).

So maybe the future is simply "everything". I won't complain. :)

As someone who essentially did redshirt as a kid (funny enough, in Indiana), it's is interesting the advantages it gives you. I was one of the bigger kids, had exposure to a few subjects via homestudy before K and as a result came in doing very well in my class immediately.

Another thing is that the kid can always skip a grade or two if it turns out their current grade just isn't challenging or if the age differential isn't working out (8th grade is perfect for skipping, being largely review in many systems and since kids tend to change schools then the social upheaval is a bit less). You get the advantage of the high momentum start and things being easier along with being able to graduate "on time". Much better than holding the kid back later.

@FIPPSS The term red shirting comes from college sports where a freshman will delay his first year of eligibility to get better developed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redshirt_(college_sports)

(though I think your definition is far funnier :D )

While I'm not sure on the junket, if you have a Home Brewing store local to you they often also stock cheese making equipement. That's where I buy my rennet and other cheese making bits!

Sounds like it's not a dry mead, if it were your options would be much larger. Bummer.

As it is, you might be able to do infusions with things like blueberries, raspberries, etc. I've also seen a blueberry mead dry hopped like a beer for a few weeks, then carbonated (carbonation drys things out a bit) and served chilled (I've also had it still). A

nother option would be to work with some cocktails. My favorite meadery - New Day Meadery in Indianapolis - does lots of things with pepper infusions, cardamom syrups, vanilla, cherry, and even strawberry rhubarb.

Another option would be to save some and use it as a base for mulling. Though, again, that might be more suited to the dry variety. Good Luck!

Love these sorts of things! Indianapolis has one much like the chicago one (and I know there are many others) showing the Neighborhood: http://www.naplab.net/

I guess it took quite a bit of research as in many cases the names hadn't been used in decades. But since its release I have noticed more people speaking neighborhood wise instead of "North Side" "South Side" and that's it.

@JJENKINS - Merged! Thanks for pointing that out, looks like one slipped through.

@EVAKATHARINA - Thanks for the heads up we'll merge them.

@MARK FROM DESTINATION BUILDERS - Each blog goes into a moderation queue where the editors check to make sure the site exists (though some get through, like the typo'd designer pad site), isn't malicious, and is what it says it is. We do this throughout the day so if you nominate something you should see it after a bit!

@Trusso - Absolutely! They will need accounts to vote but do spread the word. Maybe they'll stay for a while! :)

So happy to see more love for Three Floyds! Founder's, Bell's, and Three Floyds are easily my Holy Trinity of Beer.

Though lately Flat 12 out of Indy have my number like no other. Their Half Cycle IPA does not mess around at 104 IBU. And they're not afraid to experiment with things like cucumbers, tabasco barrel aging, rum barrel aging etc. They brought 32 beers to the last Indiana Brewer's Guild festival - half were weird experiments.

So good.

As an owner of clocky the top image is exactly how I feel.

But not for the reasons you may think - it's the alarm sound (i've never actually seen clocky move). It's so horrible that when I use clocky I wake up in a panic multiple times during the night in fear of it going off. It sounds like someone torturing R2-D2. It's terrible. :(

On the other hand I've never gotten up late with it!
