While I agree that in some instances, the "champ" isn't the best selling device in that segment, the premise is still valid. For every device in "A", there is at least one alternative (contender) in "B". The word "Champ" is figurative in this case. The Apple Hater’s Buyer’s Guide |

This is why I wish more retailers (electronics or not) would be like Apple and offer to email you a copy of your receipt. A lot of retailers already have your email address to send you promotions, so why not take it half a step further and offer to send a copy of your receipts. The storage space is effectively free. jmorey, Yeah, the article should have said that the operating temperature should be between 50 and 95. But I live in the PNW and it hardly ever gets above 95 (maybe for a week out of the whole year), so no biggie. Why You Might Want to Leave the A/C On During Vacation |

The other effect of this is that you can increase the volume of the center channel independently. My system goes from -6 to +6 so my Center channel could be a whopping 12db louder than my other speakers. Maximizing Dialogue Without Maxing Out the Volume |

I agree, while this is good advice for say, someone with a netbook, this makes little sense for anyone with a desktop or a laptop with a big enough hard drive. Mechanical disks are cheap storage, and cloud services are getting better too. Use Your iPhone to Save Space on Your Laptop |

We are moving in a few weeks and our Comcast digital cable won't be coming with us. We will still have basic cable as the price for Internet alone is the same price for Internet + Basic Cable. Which is good for the few network shows and news/weather. Still, we only watch about 2 shows a week now that we have Netflix. Why We Cut Cable And Aren’t Looking Back |

Unfortunately, Disk Utility won't do an incremental clone the way that CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper! will do. CCC and SD! are additionallly useful for having a working, up-to-date clone of the system in case the hard drive dies in the middle of something. Mac Hard Drive Cloning the Easy Way... |
