I get so many solicitors on my street--everyone from high school kids selling newspapers, to Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, Democrats, enviromentalists, homeless advocates, and the occasional crazy person with a hard-luck tale.

I answer the door if I feel like it, and hide when I don't. The easiest way to ward off religious missionaries is to point at the mezuzah on my doorway and say "Sorry, I'm Jewish." That stops them in their tracks. I guess Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses have a pretty bad track record converting Jews!

Everyone else gets a "Sorry, I don't give to solicitors" and a polite door-shut.

You probably don't want to buy a whole new mattress, but I've been really happy with the Sonno mattress from DWR. I've had it 5 years, and I don't have any dips or sagging. You don't have to flip it or turn it either, and it didn't offgas. I can't stand the feel of Tempurpedics, and in comparison the Sonno is a very temperature neutral. It comes with a 15 year warranty, too.

I like it a lot, although I would add a few pink, lilacs or aqua accents to play off the masculine color scheme. T

he plants & sculpture on the balcony are a great touch.

Just an FYI--I have a peach, plum and lemon tree, and I have NEVER sprayed any pesticides on them. Fruit trees are surprisingly easy to maintain as long as you select the right tree for your climate and soil.
