bjmp - I do loooove my Horizon so! It's improved sewing for me enormously. I got my table at IKEA. It's the super affordable kind where you just get the top and legs separately. It serves my purposes but I'd love one that my machine goes down into.

ArtsyGirl: The bird clamped to the box is what my mom always calls a "sewing bird". It is meant to help with hand sewing. You clamp it on the table next to you and it holds your fabric in it's beak which helps while you sew. Kinda like having a third hand!

And Tracey - oh I feel your furniture moving pin basting pain! At my old place I had to do that all the time, and in this space for a quilt bigger than a throw I have to as well. Good luck!

Hi All, thanks for the kind words about my sewing space. Unfortunately I'm no help about the sewing box... I literally found it all beat up on the side of the street. I took it home, refinished it, lined it with a pretty paper and added some nice knobs from Anthropologie. With a little elbow grease it became something I'll have for years!
