A lot of the 'After' is hard to see in these photos because it involved a lot of paper, tool, supply sorting. I was definitely in awe of the progress by the end of the 3 hours. I am shocked by the number of hours people spend on housework. I think I spend maybe 3-4 hours a week, cooking included. Once a month, maybe a 'big clean' 2 hours. Oh, but I loathe homework. No neat freak. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Men Create More Housework for Women? |

I just moved with my boyfriend to a brand new railroad apartment in Williamsburg. Every one of his boxes were marked 'Misc'. Lots of wires, tools, books, paints, duct tape, cds, papers, are all stacked up on long tables in our 'studio'. This weekend we're building desks and then—we'll need to get organized quick! I use a tiny metal fan—even in winter. I face it towards a wall away from my bed. It's calm sounds are addicting. I'm actually trying to ween myself off, I do live on a quiet street now.
