I approve of this house tour. That baby is probably the cutest thing this side of the force.

I really think it is harmless. I guess the hardcore folks can describe the "nation's history of colonization, rape, and abuse of Native American people", to their kids but I think I will stick to hanging out in the backyard building forts. When I was a kid we built tepee's, tents, lean too's, log cabins, and long houses all the time in the woods. Trust me we did not do it to be culturally insensitive or racist. We just picked designs we had seen, learned about, and could replicate with the materials in the woods. We also learned about native peoples starting in 1st grade on through high school. I have many fond memories of field trips to historic sites especially those of the Iroquois Nation which I was fascinated with as a child.

Also this came across as sketchy " There is nothing cute, fun, or creative about white people making teepees for their children to play in."...would it have made a difference if they were a black or Asian family?

I understand the importance of political correctness in this day and age but I think things like this can have a powerful posotive impact as well. I know that my fascination with Native cultures started by playing in the woods and looking for arrowheads by the creek.

Seems like a fun idea. I do not understand the negativity. l have a feeling that those kids just wanted to play and would not have been interested in a debate about the cultural ethics involved. People need to lighten up a little. I am sure they will learn more about Native Americans in school.

Good comment @sherrybinnh...Personally I think that it is okay in the right setting. I use some sports items in my den where at least 50% of the time there is a game on. Garages and outdoor spaces are also a great place to use sports decor. I personally prefer vintage/unique pieces such as old pennants and rackets etc. As with everything moderation is key.

The little white house is in warm springs, Georgia. I have been and it is a very interesting place and a nice park.

Jefferey Garten is a lucky man. Ina just resonates on a more personal level than a lot of the other Food Network personalities.

I switched to the streaming only as soon as it was available. There are plenty of good movies and most are in HD. As content shifts from physical discs to streaming the offerings will only increase.

I agree, I bought a sunday paper and spent about an hour drinking coffee and clipping coupons that matched my grocery list. I saved about 45% off my bill. As a college graduate with loans and car payments I think it is a no brainer to save where you can. These people are extreme but there are always lessons to be learned. Plus it is not like I was doing anything but watching sportscenter anyways.

I will take the desk. Vader would totally have that in his death star office.
