I walked across it with a friend. All the way to the Saus'. We took the ferry back. Woot woot! (I need to see if I took photos of the feat)

That Glad Press-and-seal wrap is weird. Can't make up its mind if it is a wax paper or cling film. I am surprised to see a. it is still around and b. comes in different designs. I bought a small sample-sized roll when it first came out and it was plain white. Weird. (Mario Batali was in an ad for it)

Exactly, no uni-taskers (as Alton Brown says). And as far as freezer space goes, a flattened freezer bag full of base takes up less space than an ice cream maker's insert.

After a day of shopping, I used to put all my individual plastic shopping bags into one of these big blue Ikea bags to transfer them from my car to my home. I am of the 'make 1 trip' school. The wide straps are comfortable.

But now I use reusable shopping bags, which can fit a lot more than the plastic ones. I can carry them on my shoulder.

Nothing. If you are afraid of a child swallowing it, take a look at the tube they use to determine if a toy can block a child's windpipe. And now look at the donut.

Also, the donut shape is easier for little hands to hold when you don't have the manual dexterity needed to hold a pencil-shaped object.

Thatkris and Tarains, I think it would be easy enough to remove the doors on any colored Aga and have them re-enameled a different color. (And cheaper than doing the whole thing).

One way to keep your bath mat dry (which I feel is not for drying feet but for having something soft to step on) is to lay down the towel and step onto it. Dry your feet and legs first, then the rest of your body. Ta-da, no drips!

That's it? A horizontal shelf resting on a round peg? The shelf with the teapot on it is too short and looks very precarious. Also, this would not work in an earthquake area. Maybe if the shelf had a half-round groove cut into it for where it sits on the peg?
