I love the colorful look of the first and third photos, and the slats would give me a place to hang towels, robes, etc. in my bathroom. I went right to the Home Depot site (then Lowes) & searched under 'slat,' 'slatted,' 'slatting,' etc. but only found shutters and trellises. Can anyone think of a better search term? Many thanks!

Nicely done! I have the same square footage, but no separate bedroom -- rather, one larger open space that becomes a bedroom or a living room depending on what's needed. It's fascinating to see how different this space feels from mine! I also have no built-in closets, but a floor-to-ceiling wardrobe with mirrored doors serves very nicely. Living in a space this small works just fine -- you just have to learn to be choosy about your possessions, and no harm in that!

And see, that's the thing [Kayla AKA etc. "I felt more refreshed than if I had gone away"]: I don't generally feel refreshed when I *do* go away! Travel can be kind of stressful these days... also, scarce vacation days often get spent on distant family. Always a pleasure, but not necessarily an un-mixed one. So a one-day vacation without travel, staying home, sounds like the best of both worlds: genuinely refreshing.

Nita, nice job! I'm envious that you've found room for both a bed AND a sofa! For those asking about where the sofa came from (Nita purchased it at <isquaredhome.com>, it is probably made by Innovation Furniture? See if this is it: http://www.innovation-usa.com/istyle/inspiration/wing-in-white-leather-textile

Since last fall I've been sleeping on a sleeper-sofa from Innovation Furniture, which I love: the 'Supremax DEL' (#20 in this catalog lineup):

It was expensive, but justified because it was going to have to serve as my bed every night (and my sofa every day) in a new petite studio condo. Works beautifully, looks great. When I was searching for a sofa bed, I found many that seemed designed to be used a half-dozen times a year when guests come, but not many intended to be used every night. Big difference.
