I live in Andersonville, and I think this is a really great roundup of places in the neighborhood. Roost, Haymaker, Room Service, and Brimfield are my personal favorites, and it's nice to see Brownstone and the Brown Elephant here too for affordable antiques. And I also disagree---the Brown Elephant is quite inexpensive. We've bought tons of glassware for less than $1 a glass, and my boyfriend has gotten several really nice Burberry and Paul Stewart blazers for like $20. I was going to comment, but I think what babyfishmouth said is spot on, so I second all of that advice. Where to Start When You're Starting Over? |

From my own experience growing most of these, I've found cilantro to be really hard to grow. I've never been able to grow it inside, and it does okay outside but you must keep it well watered and shaded. I grew it in Virginia, but by mid summer the hot sun had killed it. It's not really my taste generally, but one thing that really bugs me is the bookshelf with just a single book on each shelf. I would say either fill it in more or get rid of it. Before & After: A Dining Room Goes from Bland to Grand bova goods |

I love Rogers Park. The decor isn't my thing, but the space is great and I'm so jealous that you overlook the lake! It even look likes there's a balcony which is so awesome. Erica's Contemporary Rogers Park Loft House Tour |

The windows I had in Germany were fantastic. Similar to these, but better. If you turned the handle latch down, they swung open like these, and if you turned the latch up, they would open just a few inches in at the top (if that makes sense). I really miss that style of window and I wish they would spread to the US! The lack of screen, though, I guess would be a problem in a lot of places. French-Style Windows: Pros and Cons |

Right now I live small because I'm a grad student and can't afford anything else, but at the same time I think I would also remain in a space like this (~600 sq ft) even if I could afford more. For one thing, I live with my boyfriend, and we always talk about how this apartment reflects our intimacy. We're always together, so having more rooms would just be wasted on us since we only ever occupy one at a time. He always comments that large homes only allow people to get away from each other into their own spaces, while a small home facilitates sharing and interaction. One of the many reasons why I see myself living in small apartments forever. Why Do You Live Small? |

I love this! So many elements I would love to copy---the scallop-backed sofa, the stacked suitcases, the plants on the window, the way the pictures are hung. This should definitely be in small cool. Hilda's Sunny Swedish Highrise House Tour |

How funny this post came up today! I've been exhausted all day because my boyfriend kept me up all night snoring. He's young and thin, and unfortunately has serious allergies and a deviated septum, so I'm not sure if traditional remedies could help. I think maybe what is described as the table top fireplace is the thing sitting to the left of the tv...? If so, I don't know if fireplace is the word I would use to describe it. Jose’s Super Small & Stylish 275 Square Foot Apartment House Tour |

I love it! Especially the blue mosaic tile paired with the warm grey upholstery. My parents spent the first 8 years of their marriage (before kids of course) traveling around the country in an airstream. Unfortunately they sold it in the early 90s, but I so wish they had kept it. I'll have to show this to them, I doubt they'd believe one could look so nice and modern inside. Living Large in an Airstream Trailer House Tour |

I've been looking for some curtains in an aqua shade for my bedroom, but have been having so much trouble finding anything! Pre-made curtains tend to come in such blah colors, and I've been trying to find some appropriate fabric to make my own but also not turning up much. Anyone have any suggestions for bright (budget) curtains or good fabric stores? Touches Of Aqua In The Bedroom |

We have this sofa (in blue), and like mudmaven said, the covers are very hard to get off. The cushions would not be a problem, but the cover on the frame does require taking the whole sofa apart.
