Could you do this to make fabric to upholster a chair? Would you use the same type of paint or something else (to make sure it won't rub off, etc.)?

From my own experience growing most of these, I've found cilantro to be really hard to grow. I've never been able to grow it inside, and it does okay outside but you must keep it well watered and shaded. I grew it in Virginia, but by mid summer the hot sun had killed it.

I also had some trouble with parsley. It grows really easily and well, but there is a certain type of caterpillar that hatches in mid summer that LOVES parsley. My beautiful container of parsley was completely devoured by these fuzzy black beasts.

I love Rogers Park. The decor isn't my thing, but the space is great and I'm so jealous that you overlook the lake! It even look likes there's a balcony which is so awesome.

Right now I live small because I'm a grad student and can't afford anything else, but at the same time I think I would also remain in a space like this (~600 sq ft) even if I could afford more. For one thing, I live with my boyfriend, and we always talk about how this apartment reflects our intimacy. We're always together, so having more rooms would just be wasted on us since we only ever occupy one at a time. He always comments that large homes only allow people to get away from each other into their own spaces, while a small home facilitates sharing and interaction. One of the many reasons why I see myself living in small apartments forever.

I'm not usually the biggest fan of modern design but I think this is the most wonderful house I've ever seen. I would kill to live there! That master bedroom is seriously magical.

I think maybe what is described as the table top fireplace is the thing sitting to the left of the tv...? If so, I don't know if fireplace is the word I would use to describe it.

I love it! Especially the blue mosaic tile paired with the warm grey upholstery. My parents spent the first 8 years of their marriage (before kids of course) traveling around the country in an airstream. Unfortunately they sold it in the early 90s, but I so wish they had kept it. I'll have to show this to them, I doubt they'd believe one could look so nice and modern inside.

The living area does seem, however, a bit too sparse. With so much space you could do a lot more. Even though I live in Chicago, too, I'm still constantly impressed by what large, beautiful spaces we have available.

We have this sofa (in blue), and like mudmaven said, the covers are very hard to get off. The cushions would not be a problem, but the cover on the frame does require taking the whole sofa apart. But with white maybe you could take care of spots on the arms with bleach pen?

I wanted to get this sofa in white but we were mostly worried about our jeans turning it blue.
