The pinks, maroons, and salmon colors were warm and inviting. Using stripes with florals is a good interior decorator move. Stripes are just about good with any design and you recognized that. Your balance was superb. The "weight" of the medium and smaller pictures equalized the weight of the larger side picture. You had to fill in the space between the spriped boxes and the higher medium picture. You did that with candles. I am not a tv person at all. In fact I have no tv in my living room where people come to socialize and 'chat'. I dislike talking over people on tv. (seems impolite even then) Since you have a small space in your apt., you did the tv thing right. It is not a prioity in your life, nor mine! And, I am so glad you kept the stripped chair next to it all. It provided an "odd" number of the 3 major larger pieces. If you had gone with just 2 large pieces it would have seemed vacant and, the interior decorator realizes, the human mind likes uneven.............just look at nature !
