I always enjoyed the cargo containers that the artists would design. There were always some really fun things there to see, even if you aren't very knowledgeable about the art scene...like myself.

Most all of my moves have been done with friends. I did one move within Miami three years ago with movers and it was a miserable experience.

They looked at my stuff and quoted me a $300 price, which wasn't bad. On the day of the move, there was a delivery truck blocking the entryway to my new apartment's loading dock. It sat there for over an hour while my moving guys just sat in their truck and watched their pay go up. Once we finally got to my new apartment, they brought one load up and then told me that I had to pay before they would do anymore work.

Of course, the price had then skyrocketed to $750, because "they didn't realize how much stuff I had." So I was forced to either pay that fee or they would take everything back to my old apartment and still charge me the original $300 price. Since then, I have not used any professional movers.
