I checked out the movie sofa this weekend at the Soho store and was very impressed. I like the slipcovered one because we have children and cats. I am actually excited to get some pillows and already checked out IKEA for some fun pillows I also think that Target has some good ones (the pillows at CB2 were a little young for me). What attracted me to this was the single bottom cushion and the clean lines and the ability to change out the back pillows when they get worn from one too many of my husband's marathon movie weekends with his friends. We also want a big comfy sofa to sink into during family movie nights and this really fits the bill. It's probably not a good sofa if you want a "chatting" sofa for when guests are over since there is no way to sit elegantly on this even with a lot of pillows behind you. It is designed to lounge and pull your feet up. However, that being said, I am concerned that the bottom cushion will need to be freshened before the back pillows. It was comfortable, but not very thick and I can imagine a favorites spot on the sofa getting a butt crater pretty quickly. The good news is that these cushions aren't too difficult to get restuffed at a local upholstery shop. The Movie Sofa is definitely more expensive than the Karlstad at Ikea (our 2nd choice), but it is also much cheaper than anything else than can be considered comparable in quality of both the fabric and construction.
