We have giant book cases in our living room but books always overflow into the bedroom. I found a shelf system that looks like a capital A. Narrow on top but gets wider as it goes down with about 4 shelves. Its full of the spill over and bigger coffee table type books that dont really fit on the bookshelves. Nightstand or Overrun-with-Books Stand? |

I snagged 3 old metal milk crates out of a garbage behind a building they were cleaning out a few years ago.. Took them home, sanded them off, gave them a new coat of silver paint and they sit on the bottom shelf of my bookcase full of records now. Growing up my mom had a 'formal' living room and our family room was in a basement. I was the oldest of 5 so if I wanted to have friends over and not hang out with my younger siblings my friends had to hang out in my bed room. My boyfriend and I share a small 2 bedroom house and I still find myself hanging in my room with some girlfriends when they come over. I make my bed everyday and put dirty clothes in a hamper. If the hampers full I lug it to the laundry room. Otherwise I have nothing to hide in the bedroom. Is Your Bedroom Off-Limits to Guests? |

I'm glad someone has finally posted something about this. I love my boyfriend. We dated for 2 years before we made the choice to move in together last May. I was shell shocked to say the least about the decline in the quality of sleep for both of us.. and it's not because we were up all night doing anything fun! He steals blankets no matter how many I put on the bed and they all end up on the floor next to him and snores so loud to quote a few different people "RUINS MY LIFE". Seriously. We rent a small house with 2 bedrooms and use the other one as a small office/game room for him. I'm tempted to get a twin bed and see if we can try the having our own room/ own bed thing but I think he'd be offended, he's big on the cuddling thing. Sleeping Style: Twin Beds |
