I'm a bit surprised. From their amazing contemporary artwork, I would have expected something not quite-so-traditional in their home space. This is an excellent set of comments to read--thanks everyone. My husband and I (and our baby) have just bought a house in a transitional neighborhood. We're excited about our house, have met and been completely welcomed by our neighbors, and are prepping our new home to be as secure as possible.
