The damage is already done. The backs of our nice upholstered couch is now destroyed (cushions are fine). does anyone have a short and dirty way to protect it without the use of old beach towels? do i really have to sew a slipcover??

what kind of fabric is less prone to damage? khakis??

we live in a small space also. right now, the hair dryer has a small hole at the bottom of the handle. we fitted a carabiner in the small hole and hangs the dryer on a hook behind the door. The cord is not retractable, so i just looped a loose knot to hold up the cord.

you can try to look for a U-shaped hook, similar to guitar hooks in hardware stores. But not sure if this tends to fall off (?)
