I was going to answer the first one, but then I thought again. What I mostly like in this period is that the furniture is well made, they hold up for decades. I think something went terribly wrong after the 70's, since then all pieces are made of only fiberboard.

I've done just this! I'm so easily tempted to change the colour or style so I want the change to be as easy as possible.

This comment will come from Europe, Finland to be more accurate. Why I line dry is mainly because I don't live in a humid climate. Especially at wintertime the air dries out because of the heating and the drying laundry brings in the much needed humidity. The clothes will be dry in a few hours. On summer I line dry outside, especially linen, I love the smell. But I do understand people in humid climates that use dryers, it's not nice to wait few days for the laundry to dry.

I love this! This could be so cool and good looking to incorporate this in an open staircase. Especially I love that the spines of the books are hidden inside so it looks cohesive and relaxed from outside.

I don't have bugs in my plants, in any room. Atleast nothing dangerous. I'm happy to have a plant or plants in my bedroom, it gives a fresh look.

I don't really get how you water them if they are indoors. Does someone know?

I'd like to try this, eventhough I'm pretty sure it will not survive the winter, it's so dry indoors then.

There are so many comments allready, so I'm not sure if some one has suggested this allready, but I'd emphasize the space you have there. I'd add lighting on top of the cabinets, in a way that you cannot see the light source itself and add some lighting under the cabinets also (if there isn't any allready). This way the cabinet could look like it's floating in the air. I think it would look cool.

If it was my kitchen I'd leave the top totally empty or then add an item (large enough) that would be easy to dust. Perhaps something supprising, something that has nothing to do with kitchen or food. Like downhill skies hung from the wall, or something even more weird! :D
