If you tape the photo to black cardstock and then cut out the photo, you can skip the painting step. Simply peel away the original photo, flip over the cardstock and use an acid-free glue stick to adhere the silhouette to the background. I have a framed wallpaper feature behind my sofa, too. Of course, it is nowhere near as grand as this and I am still looking for the perfect WOW piece to hang on the wall for it, but I love it! It warmed up my living room with just the right amount of detail.
