What a funny idea! I've heard of first world problems. Is this a first world solution? :) But it's cute.

This is the upholstery equivalent of a tattoo. Unnecessarily permanent and ultimately unsatisfying way to express something visually. You could eat the picture too, but that won't make it any more a part of you than putting it on the wall and looking at it.

Or paint the walls in the exact white of the cabinets.

I agree with the others -- the tile is not something that I would replace. An area rug would be wonderful.
Then you could think of the wall color -- the pale yellow looks sad next to the white of the cabinets, but blue, besides being too cool, might end up being weird with the pink -- like you were trying to replicate some candies or something.
What about a light gray or a pink in the same tone, but lighter, than the backsplash?
It's a cute kitchen!

Try to find an off-white border, even if it has a white-on-white design. Then it will just disappear against the off-white wall.

That is a wonderful quilt!

I really suggest staying away from blue on the walls. It would tend to wash the quilt out! It's tempting to do turquoise or something like that, but in the end, it will be overwhelming.

Instead, complement the quilt with a fresher white -- try my favorite, BM Calming Cream. You can use the colors in the sheets and skirt and other accents in the room. Or use the palest greeny gray -- try a BM historical shade.

If possible, move the bed out of the corner, try to find a thrifted/vintage wooden frame (you could spray paint it a light green -- they have awesome colors at Lowe's in their Valspar), and get a nice bedskirt. When you make the bed, fold the top sheet over the quilt and let the pillow show, or do what andriette said and fold it at the bottom of the bed. Surprisingly, not covering the whole entire bed with the quilt shows the quilt off better! If you can't find a frame, at least prop pillows up against the wall.

If you could move the bed out (for instance, if it would fit coming out into the room perpendicular to where it is now -- I realize I can't see what's going on in that room) -- you could put a nice little table next to it with some colorful objects. If not, find a low table for under that window!

That will be a beautiful bed!

I would love to know where they got that easy chair in the dining room. I love it.

I love apartment therapy, but --

"rainbow order" is for people who don't care about reading! It's anti-book. It's anti-culture. I really hate it!

"spine-in" is even worse. Just not helpful.
