Inspiring! Almost as beautiful as Leah and her family. Now I want to remodel! Sorry to hear about Koa and your kiddos being sick. Wishing them a speedy recovery.

Hallie & Mark,
If I only had a fraction of your talent. Let me know when you are ready to come over and re-decorate my house. Stunning!!

Perfection! I'm ready to move in. What I love most is how you had such a vision and saw it through with such love.

life abundant-thank you, thank you! Mirror in the bathroom is not an antique, I bought it at Chartreuse&co 301-874-1882
Genevieve's curtains are died drop cloths and mine are drop cloths straight out of the package, hung with clip rings:-)
I appreciate your prayers and sentiment. We miss Dan everyday and are so proud of him. He's doing some amazing and important work. I know he liked seeing pics of his home when I sent him the link and would very much like to be surrounded by that so called feminine side (even though it really is only 3 rooms:-) xo

Also, here is a store in SF, CA that you may need to email but a girl said she bought a knock off of the fabric for $18.99 a yard.http://www.britexfabrics.com/2ndfloor.html

grandma T- Kelly Wearstler is high end and pricey. www.deboistextiles.com is where I bought it for $45 a yard. I should have used even more for my drapes but I'm leaving them open, so settled for a little less.

Teresa Bohon-Thank you:-) LOVE my office curtains. The fabric is by Kelly Wearstler, pattern is Imperial Trellis--she also has wallpaper in this pattern which I considered but this was a more affordable choice for me. Not sure of the exact color name but it is a grey & cream color. I bought the fabric in Baltimore and had our seamstress whip them up.

notyou-sorry I didn't answer before, I missed that one. I found them at an auction. They were made in the 1950's by Statton Furniture--no longer in business but can be found on ebay, etc.
beamish-the kitchen cabinets were added to the house in the 1950's. They are cherry and the hardware was a 1970's brass. To brighten things up, we painted, changed the hardware and replaced the green laminate countertops---a facelift to the kitchen that really needs a remodel someday. Ikea has some beadboard cabinets that are similar I think.
I appreciate all the kind words and support.

I've been a HUGE AT fan for some time too and this is my 1st time leaving a comment---I couldn't resist saying "thank you" for all the lovely comments and answering a question or 2.
Sousani-kitchen counters are blasted granite---found a place in Rockville that sells remnants, so the price is a bit lower.
Rachida-bought the dining table off a friend at a garage sale for $50, it was dark wood for many years and I recently painted it white.
Foogiefive-stairstep #5 says, "count" They are numbered with every few steps, it says "count" "your" "blessings" I think it looks kind of cool, I'll post pics on our website blog later today.
Mirabella-our fluffy dog (a gorgeous Samoyed) is at the breeders---my husband was deployed to the Mid East in Dec and I didn't think I could give him the care and attention he needed while shuttling the kids around, etc while Dan is away---so he's at doggie camp---we miss him.
Megadele-all the dark wood was a big challenge for me too---changing paint colors to more whites than my original plan and painting a lot of my furniture from our last house.
Sugarcake-you're right PB is not budget shopping BUT I worked for them prior to having kids for 10 years and did get a great discount + saved when I coveted something. Since going down to 1 income and leaving my discount, I have purchased 1 item from them.
Katlia-success in living my with my white is called slipcovers---have to wash them often, walls & cupboards too:-)
Again, so grateful for all the kind comments, some days I think I don't know what I'm doing and should start over. xo
