We use Everclean Extra Strength (unscented) for our 2 cats with a DIY covered litter box. We bought a plastic pan at the pet store and line with plastic to put the litter in. Then we bought a single cabinet large enough to cover the pan and allow some room for the cat to enter/exit the pan. Cut a hole in the side and put a kitty door on it. When we clean, we lift the cabinet door upward and scoop. Also we bought a Litter Genie and love it. My mom who is very sensitive to smells, says she honestly doesn't notice cat odors when she visits. Ideal Kitty Litter for Apartment Dwellers? Good Questions |

We live in an older home that has never had a dishwasher. I finally reached a point a couple of weeks ago that I was sick of spending several hours a week collectively washing dishes and bought a countertop dishwasher. I'm gone so much during the week that the dishes would sometimes sit for close to a week before anything was done. I love having a dishwasher again, even if the top shelf safe items and larger items still have to be done by hand. It's such a timesaver! My Life Without a Dishwasher Renters Solutions |

Eye mask, earplugs, humidifier (in the winter) for my sinuses, and the sound of my husband's CPAP machine do the trick for me. I can still hear the humming with tehe earplugs. Otherwise I can't sleep. What Helps You Sleep? |

One of my biggest pet peeves are the people who brag about how much weight they've lost, how healthy they eat and how often they visit the gym on Facebook. I visit the gym almost daily too but it's not posted because I'm certain most people don't care. During the election season I found myself unsubscribing from lots of friends as well to prevent some of the nasty things they were saying about President Obama from showing up in my news feed. What I'd give for an extra room like that.. I'd turn into a plant room in a second if it was mine (small space.. got plants everywhere right now...) but also attempt to grow some potted veggies, fruits, etc. A library would be cool too. Curious- is that a pretty temperate climate there? Just curious how the little room is heated/cooled if there's any weather changes? Fans and space heaters or is there something else? It looks great!
