I agree with the comments regarding too many "vignettes". I love AT, however, that is an issue common to most of the house tours. Just backing up a little bit would make a big difference and show off both interesting items and homes.

They are all great, but MUST vote for this one as I've done this - lots of plants on the deck & no hose. It's hard work & time consuming.
Kudos on the orange tree. I presume you take it in during cold weather?
It's beautiful...great job!

Overall, Ikea instructions suck! Which doesn't keep me from going back as it's all I can afford & I love the stuff.

Wow! The first use of Lucite pieces I like. The green sideboard IS wonderful, as is the bath tile.
Not having to cover windows for privacy is paradise & something I will look for in my next home.

There are food smells that bother me a bit - nuked fish or eggs, & the burned popcorn. But, as some others mentioned, I am more bugged by the lunch room slobs, those who use use the fridge as their trash can, & snarky comments about others food.

BTW, some colorful pillows & throws on the black furniture would probably pick things up for you a bit.
Also, I have similar shelves & lightly stained them a cherry red. The color is vibrant, but not too dark, so the pine wood grain shows through. Yours would look great with a pale hue of the wall color.

It's so hard to get one's life back together after a serious illness. You've done a great job! I find myself barely able to get beyond Ikea, but grateful nevertheless (<:
Cool furniture...I REALLY like the big bookshelf (want!) & your use of color, which is very therapeutic. As are the presence of things we love - ignore snarky comments & be healthy...

Lucky find...wood scraps from Ikea. I have the same shelves in my bedroom, but painted cherry red. They look great!

Incredible! Not usually a fan of vintage, but your pieces are beautifully done i.e no chipped & peeling paint, etc. Seriously making me rethink MCM. I had forgotten how useful those endtables can be (<:
I love it all - the door, the light fixtures, the globe & record collections, red dining chairs, magazine rack, all the color, even the kitchen.
Thanks!
