Nobody but nobody messes with my Christmas. Having grown up with a father who abandoned his family every Christmas except for one when he went postal over we kids laughing too much and threw the Christmas tree, lights, decorations and all out the door and into a snowbank. My first relly great Christmas was the year he died. So now I make Christmas as amazing as I can for my family. Making the Best of the Holidays … No Matter What! |

Just finished making feather wreaths using white feather boas from the dollar store. Wrap the length around your wreath form then wrap some mini white lights into the wreath and plug in. Great post. My love for cooking is a result of often being by my mother's side as she prepared family meals. She had such a respect for food...how she handled it. Nothing was ever slopped, splashed or chopped to hell. She did it with grace. I was never invited to help cook with her instead she insisted I watch and learn. Later on cooking seemed to come natural. There is something zen about cooking. It takes you away and puts you in touch with what sustains us. Since my teenage son could walk and talk he has never missed hugging, thanking me and telling me the food was great after every single meal. My soul is warmed 3 times a day.
