@ DesignerinHeaven - I live with a 35 year old kid that always wants the new sets :)

I love Lego. I could never rent it, it would never go back, and since I love the opening the bags, and sorting......yeah, no. It's a great idea though, especially for the non-die hard fans.

I like it, it's different and original.

That said, using a derogatory term as part of your blog name really, really turned me off.

I want to see more; I don't feel like the photos do it justice @ 5400 sq feet.

I like what I see of the architecture so far!

I love it. It looks like people live there and enjoy it! I love the kitchen walls and the purple headboard/bed set!

Also, especially impressed to see a copy of Qwirkle. That's awesome :)

Beautiful but too stark/empty for my taste. Love the wood backsplash.

Isn't imitation the sincerest form of flattery, after all?

Personally, I think you should buy what you can afford, and what you like.

I don't agree with knock offs per se (your design should be your design), but I sure as heck don't have $5,000 or more to spend on a real Eames chair.

If good design is supposed to be timeless, it either needs to be affordable for the masses, or understood that there will always be knockoffs for those who can't afford the real deal.

I cannot wait to see the flame war that's bound to happen. Every time we compare knockoffs to real deal, there's always some very strong opinions that come out.

Not crazy about the low ceilings on the main floor but I love it anyways! Gorgeous, cozy and definitely shows personality. Well done!

A little stark for my tastes, but I like how open and airy it feels. Also? PUGS!!! C'mon! I have the same figures that are on your toilet tank :)

Where is the "Obey the pug" print from? I'd love to have my own copy!

Yeah, too many vignettes for my taste. I don't have any idea of the space at all.

@keightdee - Get some other references; walk people's dogs, volunteer at a vets office, get some professional references from other jobs, read up on special care some pets may require (diabetic, arthritic, special breed needs).

I'm more likely to hire someone who knows why my pugs have to wear a harness on a walk, and don't eat food with grain, than someone who just wants to love on them :)

I'm norwegian by ethnicity, and I don't find "honkies" offensive. I think it's silly, but not offensive....makes me think of those "Honker" muppets on Sesame Street.

At any rate, a cool project !

A friend of mine has one of these (fairly certain its the same model). It's decent enough but it's nothing spectacular and the results are definitely "prototype only" quality.

Give it another 2-3 years and maybe then it would be worth investing in one.
