The sandwich pictured above is our current fav - bacon, tomato, mozzerella, avacado, with a pesto mayo dressing. It's a handful but a treat! Mark Bittman's Guide to Sandwich Nirvana |

I scored a dozen or so vintage linen kitchen towels at a thrift store. It looked as though the original owner had bought them as souveniers of places they'd visited and then used them - maybe in picture frames - as kitchen art. I'm a bit more prosaic, and actually use them as hand towels. They soak up water forever and dry quickly. I do have to resist the urge to iron, however.... Why Are French Linen Towels So Expensive? I love Cutco! I always wonder why I don't see the brand listed more often in someone's favorite knives list. They are wicked sharp, have a great hand feel, and have never let me down. Product Review: CUTCO Santoku Knife |

I love my kitchen gadgets and would hate to have to part with any one of them. BUT, having said that, I just moved the slow cooker to the storage closet and haven't thought about it once since then. So - do I NEED it? And here I am, thinking about buying a rice steamer (this would be my second attempt at long term ownership). I just can't help myself! I never thought to put my meat and rub in a bag! Usually I have the stuff all over the place and even up my nose by the time I'm done. I know that wasn't exactly what the directions called for, but that's what I'm going to do next time! How To Make A Dry Rub |
