Our boys are fine with Priority litter from Safeway. I agree that what makes the difference is the Clevercat top-entry box; our El Guapo compulsively kicks all the litter out of an uncovered box, so we need to keep everything contained. I scoop a minimum of once a day and the scoopings go into the wonderful Litter Genie, which is emptied once a week on Trash Night.

Cat is soon exhausted from scratching and goes to sleep on top of cardboard in cradle. Humans take photos and coo.

I encased The Psycho Burmese's ashes in plastic and then sewed the pouch inside the body of a stuffed toy Burmese kitty, which also wears her pretty black velveteen collar and St. Francis medallion. She sits high on a ledge in my living room and is still queen of all she surveys.

Looks nifty. Perhaps not the most practical of solutions for earthquake-prone places, though, unless there's some sort of anchor system.
