Our front door opens directly into our living room - no foyer space whatsoever. I keep a large wicker basket tucked under an end table to contain shoes. It's not ideal, no, but it keeps them together and not all over the house. My girls - 3 & 6 - know that when they take shoes off - they go in the basket. @SeanIRL - I respectfully disagree. I don't find it condescending at all. I think she worded it in such a way that it seems less like such a strict list of rules of don't do this and don't do that or I'll take it away. What Do You Think of This Mom's iPhone Contract For Her 13 Year Old Son? |

I have two and this is what works for me: 1. I keep a luggage tag attached to my diaper bag that is a list of everything I need. Before I leave, I check the list and make sure I've got everything. When we get home from an outing, I don't put my diaper bag away until I've restocked it with everything. Getting Out the Door With Two Kids Good Questions |
