Reading a few comments saying how this is more for adults as kids dont play with lego this way. But this is why this is so good for creativity. Its not creative if it follows the usual technique, this would encourage great play and just different visually!

first thing i thought is AVOID chrome, it will look so cheap next to ur lovely table. I think two benches would be too much. One solid wood bench, DIY'd to match yours would be great, have it against the wall side of the table so the bench has a backrest then. Also when all that seating isnt needed the bench can slide under the table and the table could sit against the wall on occassions when u need more floor space in general.
Then if u have a more traditional style to that room I would go with solid mixed match wood chairs, that are different but all resonate a similar character or feel. If your style is more antique industrial I think 4 hammered metal look chairs would work, in any colour u like- but this may not seem as welcoming to kids. Those captain chairs mentioned above look great! You can soften any of these options up with some handmade chair pads or cushions

Im so confused by the negative comments. I thought the point of 'before and afters' was purely to show how something was before and how it is once something has been changed. I dont know why some people are feeling cheated by an empty room transformation - your not appreciating the work that has been done to achieve the room. Everyone knows it takes more effort working from a blank canvas! Im planning to move into my first apartment, it will be completely empty, starting from scratch and il be decorating it and showing my before and after, just so you can see the empty space i had to work with. Will it not be fair because it had no furniture in it before? This was a "Before" and "After" not an Interior Makeover?!
