If any wood trim is really sloppy and you think you'll want to strip it down 'someday,' do it FIRST. I've remodeled down to the studs, but left one crappy doorway as-was. Now I can't bear the thought of using paint stripper around my new wood floors, kitchen cabinets. But it irks me every single day. Oh, if only I could turn back time! WHO am I saving these San Marzano tomatoes for??? Am I NOT WORTHY of the drizzle-quality olive oil (which is now past its prime)?? I started doing a pantry/freezer "cleanse" every season when I realized there was ~$250 worth of forgotten, frozen, or otherwise-hoarded food sitting untouched my house. With spring on the way, I'm now powering through frozen ground turkey, whole wheat flour, and bags of nuts... Weekend Meditation: Emptying Out the Pantry |

Six years later and I finally stripped the wallpaper in the seventh (and final) room last week! Neon flowers, olive green fleur-de-lis, country hearts...you name it, it hung on my walls. Having tried everything, my best suggestion is to crank up the tunes and just power through it -- it's an annoying process no matter what method you choose. Squeezing all those blood oranges was a bit of messy process, but the results was so good. I only steeped the tequila/jalepenos for 1 hour, which gave it just a background of heat -- I felt any more time would have overpowered the fresh orange and lime.
